Raised on the island of Sri Lanka, where tea is woven into the fabric of daily life, Ashok Dias developed a deep respect for the leaf — rooted in a third-generation lineage of tea merchants and farmers.

Bringing this ancestral mastery to Melbourne twenty-two years ago, he founded Tea Drop to reconnect the modern drinker with the quiet, soulful artistry of the tea garden. This anniversary collection is that mission, distilled.

Twenty-two years on, nothing has changed at the root. Every leaf we source is handpicked at exactly the right moment, grown in gardens that care for their land and their people, and blended in small batches by our master tea maker. From misty Sri Lankan highlands to your morning cup in Melbourne, the chain of craft remains unbroken.
